Relax, It's Sunday

Ugghh is there anyone out there who tries to keep the sabbath like we do?

I TRY to take a day off from work and end up with a HUGE pile of dishes, and any way is it really possible for a pastors wife to RELAX on Sunday?

One thing that has really helped me is to tell myself to relax, to focus and worship rather than worry and fret over all that needs to be done. The Lord is helping me on this one! I have to really work to pay attention to the message, participate with my heart in the worship service and not be distracted by umpteen million things during prayer. You see, this pastors wife is still a work in progress : )

  1. I try to take Sunday off as well...to be a day of rest and worship. Trouble is...Monday always comes! :) I've missed your comments on my blog recently, but understand what it's like to be busy. I've also shared your frustrations with blogging/followers from time to time. I finally decided that it was MY blog, for my enjoyment and if someone else benefits, that is just an added plus! I'll be following you!

  2. I completely understand how difficult Sundays can be... to truly rest & focus on GOD!!
Happy to hear from you!! Hope life is going well. I like the focus & heart of your new blog!! Right now I can't get the Followers button to work on my computer... so I'll try again in the next few days. :)

  3. Crystal, I have a "box" for this! It all began during my quiet time as I struggled to focus on praying and thoughts kept intruding. I asked the Lord for HELP! Then I pictured this box beside me that I could dump each intruding thought into. In my mind I pulled each thought out and dropped it into the box and put the lid on. It WORKED! I've also successfully used this at night when I have trouble sleeping. Hope this helps :)
